Enhance strength and compete with foreign brands

In the "beautician" competition, how does Wenzhou leather chemical industry develop?

"We do not compete with our domestic counterparts and compete with foreign brands."

Zhou Xiangdong, general manager of Zhejiang East Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., said that although there is a certain gap between domestic leather chemical products and foreign brands, it is not insurmountable.

On the one hand, the domestic high-end leather chemical products have broad market space and great potential for development. On the other hand, China does not have no technology and capability to develop high-end products.

Chamber of Commerce assists in the establishment of testing centers

In the past, there were many disputes between manufacturers of leather and leather shoes and suppliers of leather chemical products.

If chemical products are detected in advance and supplied to manufacturers, the disputes can be avoided.

In fact, as early as 2000, the chamber of Commerce and the city quality and technical supervision and Testing Institute jointly set up a leather chemical testing center.

At that time, the equipment was simply invested and the efficiency was poor.

Later, Qi Liexiong, President of the chamber of Commerce, decided that the chamber of Commerce invested 300 thousand yuan to purchase a testing equipment that could detect four kinds of products, namely, leather chemicals, shoe making chemicals, interior and exterior wall coatings, formaldehyde content of furniture, and so on. The testing center was re equipped with more than 200 kinds of products.

Since then, the chamber of Commerce has urged member units to actively send products to the center for testing, and promptly intercept unqualified products before heading to market terminals.

In recent years, the inspection center of the chamber of Commerce has issued a test report for more than 1000 batches of products.

Ye Zhengkang introduced that the testing center not only brought certain economic benefits to the chamber of Commerce, but also more importantly, it made a great leap in the quality of the leather chemical industry in our city, standardized the leather chemical market and promoted the development of leather chemical industry in Wenzhou to a higher level.
