The price of natural gas in the international market is usually about 60% of the crude oil price of the same calorific value, and the average output price of the domestic land natural gas is only about 25% of that of the international market.

Liu Yijun said that price adjustment will help to straighten out the parity relationship between natural gas and alternative energy, and convey price signals to the market, so as to solve the problem of excessive growth in natural gas demand and the "gas shortage" in some areas.

According to the NDRC, after the adjustment of the domestic gas producer price, the purchase cost of the local cities Gas Co increased correspondingly, and the time and range of gas price adjustment of residents in various localities were decided by the local governments according to the actual situation and after the procedures such as the prescribed hearing.

According to the survey data of the City Gas Association of China, the average household gas consumption per household is about 20 per month.

If the urban gas sales price is increased by 0.23 yuan per square meter, it will affect the urban residents to increase their monthly income by about 4.6 yuan per household.
