In 2007, Ge Ping, 24, graduated from Wuhan Huazhong Normal College and returned home. He was determined to make his home land as a platform for entrepreneurship, develop cotton planting and promote the prosperity of his neighbors.

"In recent years, with the rapid development of China's textile industry, the contradiction between supply and demand of cotton in China is becoming increasingly acute. At present, it is the golden age to develop cotton industry."

At first, Ge Ping was not familiar with it.

Planting technology, while accepting her father's experience, played the advantage of higher education, determined to change the traditional planting methods of her parents, and implement scientific and technological cotton growing.

So she bought a lot of related books, studied cotton planting technology assiduously, and learned many times at the Cotton Research Institute of Henan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, introducing advanced technology of cotton Soilless Seedling Raising and new cotton variety "Guo Kang Za two" and "100 cotton No.1". In the same year, a good harvest was achieved in the trial planting, the output increased by more than 40%, and the quality increased by one grade.

A good beginning is half done.

Ge Ping was more confident, so he concentrated on 50 mu of farmland in the village, set up a standardized nursery base, and selected cotton varieties to grow seedlings with soilless plug plates.

Before her Qingming Festival and wheat harvest, she was filled with farmers who came to buy cotton seedlings every day.

In the spring of 2008, Ge Ping set up Henan Xing under the help of Xincai County Industrial and commercial bureau.

Through the mode of "cooperatives + farmers", professional social members have developed to more than 7000 households in the county, and have been awarded the "Henan farmer cooperatives demonstration society" by the Provincial Department of agriculture.

The contract planting is radiated to Anhui Linquan and other places around Xincai County, with an order planting area of 56 thousand mu, which can help farmers increase more than 9500 yuan per year.

Talking about the future development, Ge Ping is full of faces.

She said that Xingxing cotton and cotton industry has already undertaken the project of building high yield of 10000 mu of cotton in Henan Province, and has set up a high-yield demonstration field in towns such as sun Zhao, Song Gang and Lian Cun.

We strive to set up a demonstration site for contract planting of high quality cotton without soil in 22 townships and towns in the county, and promote the contract planting of high quality cotton.
