Anta Chief Operating Officer Said Plans To Continue To Open 600 Stores In The Mainland Within The Year

Sporting goods seller Anta sports (2020), the regular net profit increased 2.3 times to 480 million yuan (RMB, the same below) last year, and the amount of profit was directly related to Lining (2331).

Lai Shixian, chief operating officer of Anta, said that 600 stores continued to open in the mainland this year, with a total number of stores up to 5300.

Last year, 608 stores opened up 1.5 times the turnover of Anta. Last year, 608 shops were opened up, prompting Anta's turnover to rise 1.5 times.

Lai Shixian told this newspaper that 600 stores were not open this year, and denied that the positive effects brought by the Olympic Games on sporting goods sales were too optimistic.

He said Anta's wave shoe sales in mainland China last year were 18 million 300 thousand, and the market has huge potential for development.

For example, he now has an average of 0.1 pairs of shoes in the mainland. According to Credit Suisse's report, Lining's income last year was 440 million yuan, while Anta deducted 56 million 900 thousand yuan interest income recorded on the basis of the freezing of funds on the market. Last year, net profit increased 2.3 times to 480 million yuan, and Anta's profit was directly against Lining.

Lai Shixian believes that profits have risen sharply because Anta's brand recognition has increased sales.

He pointed out that the factory price of Anta goods is 41.5% to 43% of the retail price, and the price is reasonable, so the distributor is willing to enter the goods by Anta.

Besides the production and sale of wave shoes, Anta is more active in expanding its apparel business, making Anta products more diversified and increasing gross margins.

He pointed out that clothing sales accounted for only 13.2% of total sales in 2004, up to 4 last year.

He hoped that the proportion of clothing sales to sales can be maintained at this level.

"We are one of the four major brands in the mainland, and we are mainly in the mass market."

Lai Shixian said he would focus on developing Anta brand and develop Anta children's series this year. It is expected that the business will account for 5% of the turnover in three years.

He said he hoped to acquire more upscale international brands, and the estimated purchase amount would not exceed $40 million.
